When we’re out and about we’re constantly brainstorming about how to make this work. We have ideas, lots of them. New ideas all the time. In fact, you might say that we see green possibilities everywhere we go… I walk my dog past this International every couple of weeks or so, and from I can tell it has been parked in the same spot for at least a couple of years now. But every time I see it, all I can think of is how awesome it would be to add that to our fleet, and, how could we make something like that green, affordably, safely, and reliably ? All are very real possibilities, ones that we are dreaming up solutions for. Researching and obsessing. And always welcoming ideas, help, and advice. Drop a line if you have similar thoughts, ideas, or anything positive to offer!
Every year the list of incentives for owning and operating a green luxury vehicle grows. For example, today, owners qualify for tax credits that even further offset the cost of the vehicle such as the Plug-In Hybrids qualify for the Energy Improvement and Extension Act of 2008. The first modern electric vehicles hit the market during the 1990s, while the first Hybrid vehicle would be available in 1999. Furthermore, new alternative fuel vehicles are being released every single year, making encouraging strides in ending our fuel dependence. For most people, the word “limousine” seems to conjure images of large, luxurious stretch limousines. But in reality it does not necessarily always refer to a stretch limousine. But it can also refer to luxury Sedans (and taxis, some would argue), SUVs, Motorcoaches, Limo Buses, and Shuttle Buses. In today’s increasingly environmentally conscious societies, stretch limos are being seen as a luxury to be indulged in with care, especially when they run on gas. Limousine companies are (finally) beginning to listen to their patrons regarding the subject, and responding to their wishes. At many of today’s limousine company, you will find fewer stretch limos, and more luxury sedans that offer better mileage and fewer emissions. Decked out Smart Car for rent, anyone? Just kidding- though they do serve their purpose. Really though, what we fully intend to accomplish is to offer the same size, style, and amenities that customers have learned and loved to expect in limousines of all sizes, but with a much friendlier environmental footprint. We’re hard at work on our plans to achieve this goal. In the meantime, we’ll continue this conversation and would love to hear your feedback.

When it comes to choosing alternatives within the limousine industry, carriers and consumers alike have a growing number of options. In this upcoming series of posts, we’d like to explore and discuss the costs and benefits of electric vehicles and fuel alternative vehicles and how they are beginning to work their way into the limousine industry, albeit slower than we’d like to see. This is why we are here, and we hope to engage consumers and supporters alike in our quest to offer truly green fun and luxury. So please, check back for more soon and we hope that you’ll engage with us.
